The Family Support Center of Metro Jackson
About
The Family Support Center is a private, non-profit social service agency sponsored by the National Exchange Club and endorsed by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. The Center opened July 1, 1981, as a comprehensive, community-based program offering intensive educational and support services to families, adults and children, regarding the problems related to child abuse and neglect in Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties. The Center is the only agency in the Metro Area that provides free parenting classes to adult and teen parents, free supervised visitation for parents with children in foster care, free case management for children and families, free day treatment for pre-schoolers with serious behavioral problems, and free public awareness programs and activities aimed at educating the community on child abuse issues and preventive strategies.
